A virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) is a professional information assurance and cybersecurity practitioner with many years of knowledge and experience in a variety of industries. Our vCISO’s meet these expectations and add specialty knowledge relating to U.S. government cybersecurity requirements including: CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53, and DFARS 252.204-7012. Our vCISO program provides a knowledgeable and experienced professional who understands your business focus, goals, security objectives, and government contract requirements. The vCISO works with and advises you and your team on a part-time, on-call, or as needed basis. This means you have the expertise at hand without having to recruit, onboard and pay a full-time CISO of your own; for a small business, this benefit is self-evident.

Our vCISO’s not only understand the U.S. Government contract cybersecurity regulatory domain, but are also accredited by formal education and certification bodies to meet our high standards. Many are former U.S. military service members with in-depth insight into not only the cybersecurity landscape, but also many government offices, agencies and programs. All vCISO’s have undergraduate or graduate degrees in computer science or related fields, a professional certification from a recognized accrediting body, and at least five years of operational cybersecurity and information assurance experience.
